Buddy was looking for a design motif for his shooting range / competition organization. After looking at the region and the existing style of shooting sports present, this is what I came up with. And he liked it!

This has been used for business cards, general logo applications, flags, and misc. merchandise. I’d call that a success!

This was just one of five concepts. While many are too rough to feel comfortable showing, the runner-up was this:

I think while there is a certain cool aspect to the portrayal of high speed movement typical of the sports, it feels a bit plain, and I dislike the (necessary) grey background. The mishmash of text lengths also irks me, so I am glad we did not proceed with this one.
